WILL CONTAIN RELIGIOUS CONTENT( so those who are uncomfortable, pls skip)

Am feeling rather angry rigth now. was browsing through Youtube when I came across videos condeming MY religion and from there, found an entire 'war' between Islam and Christianity.

And the fasting month is coming. should not stay angry. should not be angry. it's very... dehumanising, some of the comments, painting us like we've got nothing else better to do than sit around making homemade bombs and setting them off someplace. please, if all Muslims act like that, considering there are around 2 billion of us, there wouldn't be a YouTube. there wouldn' even be a computer because it's full of components that go BOOM if you fix it a certain way.

And no, I personally am against any violence, any type of violence actually. I don't think i've thrown a (serious) punch in my entire life. though i do give a liberal amount of pinches to my bros. Its just so.....graaaaahhhh. Though I'm against it, it is understandable now, to me, why many Muslims in the West are angry, suspicious and even paranoid (a percentage of Muslims in the U.K are convinced there is a conspiracy against them, and the numbers are growing). Sadly, not many excercise the self-control and patience Islam preaches and instead resort to other avenues of seeking redress other than prayer.

Sigh...... to those who have any questions about Islam, do feel free to ask me or any of your Muslim friends for clarification on the religion.

And just to show that the Holy Quran does not advocate war or promote it, this is the verse that proves it.: "And fight in the Way of Allah THOSE WHO FIGHT YOU, but transgress not the limits. Truly, Allah likes not the transgressors."

From Surah Anfa'l.Ayat 61: "But if they incline to peace, you also incline to it, and trust in Allah.Verily He is the All hearing, the All Knowing.And should they seek to deceive you by their show of peace--verily, Allah is enough for you."

Thus, this clearly shows that war is only justifiable as a means of self-defence. Unfortunately, there are those who resort to the 'cut and paste' method when discrediting Islam, twisting the meaning totally out of historical context or giving incomplete verses, thus resulting in "And fight in the Way of Allah" which can be taken from one of the above quotes. and sadly, it is often the media that does this, thus resulting in widespread ignorance and rancour.

We are human beings too, you know. We (the majority) will not follow so blindly so as to commit inhuman acts in the name of religion. those who do so are either mad, desperate or evil.

I'm just glad I live in Singapore. Again, the West portray this country as some dictatorial island state that is money-minded and mindless. If you look carefully, it is the people who are better off in the end. I believe Singapore is a shining example of what a modern, peaceful society should be. Btw, see the YouTube video about Eddie Guerrero ( the wrestler) visiting Singapore and eating beefball soup. He was convinced they were cow's 'nuts' if you know what i mean. Totally funny....
